Commencing his medical education, he earned an MBBS degree from Karnataka Medical College in 1993. Subsequently, he pursued an MS degree from PGIMER, Chandigarh in 1997. Further enhancing his qualifications, he procured a DNB degree from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi in 2000 and thereafter secured an MRCS qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh, UK in 2005.
